There have been several small chat rp's relating to this particular topic.... So I decided trying a formal rp of it.... Enjoy!

If you don't know anything about Pokemon... I recommend googling it... and really.... who in our generation doesn't know what pokemon is?

The child was sitting down, resting. The clear skies overhead were the purest blue and the grass was actually warm and soft under him, making it very hard for him to want to get up and go. He was tired, despite having walked very little today. His Eevee sat beside him, nibbling on an Oran berry. They had just left Odale Town, on their way to Petalburg city.

It had always been Gale's dream to get out in the world and see pokemon. His mom hadn't really cared - she never cared about him, not even when he was found half-dead one day. So, after finding his Eevee friend and stealing all the money he could from his mom, he set off.

It was not Gale's goal to become the greatest. He just wanted to see that pokemon he had played with all those years ago. But that would be rather difficult given his memories were fuzzy. The child rested for a couple more minutes, loving the cool breeze on his face and the soft grass on his hands. Deciding Eve needed someone to keep her company, Gale tossed out a pokeball and Poochy-Poo, his Poochyena, appeared. After glancing around for a bit, he settled next to Eve, who shared the Oran berry with him.

Pokeballs and pokemon friends... Gale never knew that he would have them... He smiled to himself. His life was going to get very interesting, very quickly.

It was certainly a nice day. The kind of weather for picnics and hiking, if you were into that kind of thing. For one Pokemon in particular though, this was perfect weather for a fight. Even if his usual company didn't approve of his violent nature upon other willing Pokemon folk. Which was why, at this particular moment, Codex was hiding from his pixie-esque quarry. It helped that he was already familiar with the land scape. Despite there were more flourishing Pokemon than he remembered and fresh trails between the local cities, He knew it all the same.

As he slink through the forest and out into the thick grass, he sniffed out a good fighting partner. Something to brush up his skills on. It wasn't long before he came across the trial of one of those new generation Pokemon. It looked like a plant. Maybe it was editable? Standing his partial height, he greeted the Pokemon with a tip of his head. Caught it's eyes and flapped his ears in a noiseless proposal. The Breloom acknowledged Codex, turning to the fellow Bipedal. Eyes met and the tension grew. Silently, the pair bowed. “Co----dex!” “Breloooom!” Heads down, they charged.

The battle was over before it had even begun. Breloom Smacked into Codex's skull head on Held his ground firmly, but soon toppled over and fainted. #Hahaha!!! You lasted longer than the last one. I'll do you the honor of not eating you, little Breloom#, Codex Boasted. Stepping over the groaning Breloom, Codex sunk into the grass and hurried on his way to find his next opponant.

Pala rested in the shade beneath a forest tree, enjoying her newfound freedom. It was a little warm for her taste, but she had gotten used to being away from the cold. She was tired of fighting and being used as a weapon, perhaps now she could live how she had always wanted.

Then again, fights always found a fighter, as an odd looking pokemon came into view with a triumphant look, walking along the path nearby. She tried to stay out of sight, but he had already caught sight of her. Oh dear...

“Biii!” a small fairy like pokemon hummed to itself as it rose above the treeline, flying high into the air. Soaring past flocks of Taillow and Swellows, it darted up into the clouds. Hovering there momentarily, a speck of green in an ocean of white, before popping back down through the clouds and mist and back towards the earth. Darting through a small town, unnoticed by the inhabitants. Looking inside of strange metallic boxes that housed parcels and paper, picking up a strange toy on the ground, playing with it for a few seconds before darting off again, exploring the rest of the village.

It had always been in the forest, for as long as it could remember, darting back and forth through time protecting the forest. It had always wondered what lay beyond, to see what was out there… But it was the forest’s guardian… it had to stay… As it always had, and always thought it would be. Until…

It faltered slightly, not liking to remember that day. It couldn’t protect it’s forest… but… it’d regrow… it had to. Until then though, it liked playing with it’s new friend. The unusual pokemon it had found not long after it’s exile, slumbering deep in a dense wood. It traveled the world, and it followed along, enjoying the freedom this kind of life gave. It floated up into a tree, eating a few berries, before glancing down below.

There was a small boy with a Poochyena and an Eevee, having a snack. It hid up in the tree, watching them. It wasn’t sure what to make of them just yet. After a while, it’d have to go off to find it’s Codex friend. The Celebi nibbled on the berry, wondering what trouble it was getting into now.

Gale continued eating his snack, happily humming to himself. Whenever he saw a pokemon in the grasses, he would flip open a pokedex that he got as a present from a friend and listen to the voice tell him everything about it. Soon, however, a Metapod rolled from the grass, in obvious pain. A couple Zigzagoons were beating on it, playfully batting it from side to side. The boy jumped to his feet.

"Hey, leave 'im alone! Eve, use sand attack!" Immediately, Eevee reacted, kicking up clouds of dirt at the pokemon. The two Zigzagoons coughed and hacked. "Good! Now, use quick attack! And Poochy-poo! Use tackle!" Both pokemon reacted quickly, darting in and, after a few minutes, the Zigzagoons ran off, scared.

Gale dashed to the Metapod, and, after picking it up, congratulated his pokemon on a job well done. The Metapod, despite seeming scared, seemed to relax in Gale's arms as the boy, rag in hand, brushed off the dirt.

Poochy-poo made sure Eve was all right, nudging her to eat the berry. Something had caught his eye and he was going to check it out.

#Watch out for Gale, ok, Eve?# He asked, stepping back slightly towards the trees.

#Of course.# Eve answered with a smile.

Poochy-poo walked away from teh group and towards the trees. He looked up. #I see you.# He said to the Celebi.

Spying the Glaceon, Codex stood still in the grass. Watched the creature try to sneak away but held it's gaze firmly so It wouldn't go away. Carefully moving towards it, more curious of the creature than it was egging for a fight. Yet, at least. #You seem very far from home, Glaceon?# Codex lifted it's head, with nose in the air. Sniffing as the wind ruffled the grass around them. #You must be very brave, or very stupid, to be in such warm climates.....# His ears fluttered, but hardly enough to engage the Glaceon. Lowering his nose he bowed his head and crouched low, creeping closer to the Glaecon in a wide circle. Seeming rather docile for the time.

Celebi left it’s perch and sat on a low lying branch, looking down at the Poochyena below. He looked nice. #Hi!# It chirped happily, floating down further, circling the puppy pokemon. It wanted to ask what it’s name was, where he was from, what things he had seen…. But…. She glanced over to the field beyond, and a familiar face, in another fight it seemed.

She smiled sweetly, before lightly tapping the top of Poochyena’s head, gesturing for it to follow her. #Tag!# It chirped, before floating off through the treeline and towards the fight that was about to begin.

Pala growled softly, and backed away, air around her chilling.
#Leave me alone...# She turned and leapt up a tree, hairs standing on end like a cat, only...sharper.

By this time, Codex would normally turn away from one as cowardly as that. Though Glaceon was showing potential. Those needle like hairs drawing him closer, like a Houndoom sticking it's nose where it didn't belong. Standing it's full height, head sticking into the branches, Codex looked straight at the Glaceon in front of it. Inspecting the ice creature as it hissed at him warningly. #Hm......# His eyes scanned the creature over, lips twitching like a pout as he gave her a very wry and puzzled look over. A realization seemed to dawn him, because the look on his face suddenly vanished and his just smirked. #Feh.....Deserter. Intriguing, but not worth my time.# Relaxing his stance, Codex backed away from the tree and began to move away.

Pala growled more, angry. He thought he was better then her - she would teach him a lesson. Attacking from behind wasn't something she was afraid to do; she proved that as she leapt from the tree branch, charging into his behind with all her strength, knocking him to the ground.

Gale was humming to himself as he treated the Metapod. Then he reached into his pocket and drew out a pokeball. Lightly tapping the creature, it vanished into the ball. It wiggled. Once. Twice. Still. Gale giggled to himself. "I have a Metapod...." He looked to Eve. "I'm gonna name him Felix!" Eve smiled. #That's a great name, Gale.# She said, rubbing against his leg. The boy laughed again and pet his Eevee behind her ears.

Just then, Gale felt an unnatural breeze. Somethign whizzed right by his head and he looked up, startled. "Huh?!" He stood, Eve beside him. Just then, Poochy-Poo raced past. #It's a Celebi!# He called out, dancing in a circle before chasing after Alexis. Eve gasped, then bit Gale's pants' leg. Bending down, the boy picked up the Eevee and darted after Poochy-Poo. "Where are you guys goin'?!" He called out, racing after them.

Rushing through grass, and leaping over pokemon, Poochy-poo finally stopped in a clearing, Gale and Eve close behind. There was this strange pokemon, and another one that Gale had never seen on top of it, hissing and growling. Quickly, Gale shifted Eve to one arm and pulled out Dexter, his pokedex.

"Glaceon... and Codex..." He said, looking up. Strange... why did the Codex seem familiar? And were they fighting? It seemed like it... The boy watched on, interested in the fight between two strong pokemon.

Knees jarred and balance thrown off, Codex tumbled forward. An experienced fighter Pokemon though, He easily rolled and righted himself to face the Glaceon. #Little bitch. I was going to let you alone, but now I won't play nice!# Snarling at Gacelon, Codex sprung up from his low position. Jumping high and coming down hard on his hands atop the ice cat. And just as easily bound away to get his footing and charge again. Paws clenched into fists as he powered up a lethal punch.

The Celebi sat up in the tree, looking down at the two fighting below. It frowned, looking rather sad. It wasn't as much that it tried to stop him from fighting... It was something that some pokemon seemed to like to do after all... It was.... She was.... She just worried about him. She knew that there were powerful pokemon out there, and didn't want him to one day meet his match and the other pokemon not know where to stop.

It hid out of sight, peeking down through the leaves at the two. It could stop the fight.... But that would just make him unhappy, and wouldn't solve the problem. With a long sighed 'biiii' it waited on the sideline, deciding to wait and see what happened.

Pala scrambled to her feet, panicking at the surprisingly strong pokemon. In a flurry, she let out a small blizzard to frost as much of the environment as she could.
#I take my home with me, wherever i go.#
She frosted her hide, preparing to take the blow if she couldn't avoid her opponant. She would be like a shard of ice - sharp and hard to keep hold of!

Cerebi shivered as the temperature dropped with Glaceon's attack. The snow and winds dug into her skin painfully. She didn't like the cold at all. As the plants near her withered and died, she curled up in the low branches of the tree, trying to get warm.

Erin glanced around nervously as she stood at the edge of town, looking out at the great expance that lay before her. There were so many things that could go wrong. They could end up starving out there all alone... They could run out of money, run into bad guys, they could get hurt and not be able to find help....

She was nudged forward by an almost invisible force, a ball of purple gas that materialized besides her, giving her an encouraging grin that gave her the courage to take her first steps away from her home town and off to her new adventure.

Lurching at Glaceon, Codex' twisted himself and thrust out it's arm. Fist flattening as it used Cross Chop, striking his target along it's side. Metal cuffs causing extra damage in the blow. Expecting to have dazed his target, Codex prepared Arm thrust as he drew back his other hand. Ready to mercilessly pound the Glaceon into the hardened ground.

Gale watched on as the two fought, clutching Eve and Poochy-poo. He was amazed. Never before had he seen pokemon fight like this! He flinched every time a blow was landed, gasped whenever one of them recoiled in pain.

Eve looked at Poochy-poo worriedly.

#What are such high level pokemon doing here?# She asked poochy-poo, who yipped worriedly. She then looked at Gale. #Do you think he'll make us battle them? I'm scared...#

This made Poochy-poo snort. #Don't be ridiculous.# He said. #Gale wouldn't do that...#

Both looked up at Gale, who was completely engrossed in the battle. He was shivering and shaking from Galceon's blizzard attack. Eve nudged at him and he looked down.

#Let's go... Please?# She asked worriedly. Gale looked at her, then the pokemon one last time. Slowly, he stood, exposed knees shaking. Taking one step back, two... But the ice ground slipped him up and he lost his balance and fell. A loud CRACK was heard as he landed on a large, frozen stick which shattered on contact.

Pala felt herself winded as she was struck, but luckily her icy coat had softened the blow a little. She saw him preparing another attack, and had a feeling she wouldn't get back up if he got her this time.
He raised his arm ready to strike, but he took a little longer, due to the slippery ground. She pulled herself up once more, dexterous on the ice, and went for his exposed stomach with iron tail.

His ears lifted to the noise behind him. The small distraction costing him a second too much. Muscles taught, he took the brunt of Glaceons Iron tail. The full force of her attack throwing him back against her tree with a hard slam that shook and cracked it's branches.

Wheezing to get his breath back, He stare at Glaceon through one eye. Then looked across to what had been sneaking up on him. Much as he hated being snuck up on, especially in fights, Codex was mildly surprised to see the little human among their battle field.

Bracing his footing on the slick ice and the tree behind him, Codex positioned his paws at Glaceon. The metal bands on it's wrists became aglow and Seconds later released a Focus Blast on Glaceon.

"Bii!" Cerebi cried out as the tree it hid in shook violently around her, ice and broken branches crashing down on her. She protected herself with Safeguard, a small bubble-like sheild surrounding her. The snow and debris bounced off of the shield, and dissapated once the threat was gone... She didn't like being in the middle of their fight. It was too cold... To cold for it to fly away... ".....biiii"

Pala glared at her foe.
#You make it so obvious when you're about to attack.# She darted behind a tree before he released his attack, taking cover.
#It takes less then a few seconds to react.#
She began to chill the area even more, as frosted leaves began to flake fro the nearby trees.

Snorting, Codex moved slowly over the icey ground, glaring back at the Glaceon. It lurched after the creature, but froze and stood still. Stuck between defending it's pride and something else. #..............Feh.# The Codex flashed it's teeth and lifted it's ears before charging. Bee lining around the tree after the Glaceon. Paws firmly clenched for brute fist fighting and pummeling.

The boy sniffled, rubbing his sore arm, and looked up. He still saw the pokemon fighting... but he spotted something else as well. There was another pokemon in the trees.... the frozen trees. And she didn't look like she was doing too well.

"Return, you guys." He said, holding out his pokeballs and returned Eve and Poochy-poo to them. Then, putting those in his pocket, he dashed around the outskirts of the frozen ground, heading onto the ice only after he was close to the tree.

Then, tiny fingers grabbed onto rough bark. He slowly climbed up it, having a difficult time. But he soon reached where the pokemon was. "Hey!" He called out, inching forward. "Want down?"

Celebi was extreamly pale, shivering rather violently. Ice was beginning to form on her antenne as the temperature got colder and colder. She heard someone nearby, and slowly opened one of her tightly clenched eyes. It was the human boy, and he was too close!

She edged away, curling up against the tree. She didn't want to be caught. She didn't want to go... "......biii......."

She felt a pair of hands reach out and pick her up, pulling her away from her hiding place. She cried out softly, trembling in the boys arms as she was taken away. She didn't want to go... But he was so warm....

She cuddled up against her attacker, desperate for any source of warmth as she slipped into unconciousness.
